FIN DE SEMANA EPICO EN L’ESTARTIT!
Con menos participación de la esperada se celebró el pasado fin de semana la primera prueba del circuito catalán 2009. La previsión de vientos fuertes de tramontana y lluvia desanimó a más de uno, aunque los irreductibles de la clase acudimos con nuestro mejor ánimo al club ampurdanés.
Y como casi siempre, Windgurú Pro acertó y el sábado amaneció desapacible y con rachas moderadas del norte. La presencia de dos de las últimas incorporaciones de la clase, Leandro Rosado,- nada que ver con el famoso doctor de los 70-, y el reconocido yachtman Ramón Serrano, junto con la visita de un Xavier Boluda ya totalmente recuperado, animaron los prolegómenos de la competición. Además J.Mª. Campi se presentó con un espectacular remolque tipo Noguer-Team que causó sensación.
Una vez en el agua , todos con las nuevas lycras blancas gentileza de la clase, (gracias Pitus!) pudimos comprobar la bravura del mar a poco que asomábamos la proa por el freu entre Les Medes y el cabo. El comité se situó a cobijo del maretón, decisión que bastantes agradecieron, y que sin duda fue acertada teniendo en cuenta que somos Masters de todas las edades.
En la primera, y única prueba del día, destacaron en la salida Miquel Álvarez y David Marcó, este último amurado intrépidamente a babor. Pero Eolo se mostró caprichoso y roló más de 20 º a la izquierda favoreciendo a Noguer, Mumbrú, Campi y Marrón quienes viraron en cabeza. Mumbrú tras montar la boya se fue directo de popa en lugar de través perdiendo sus opciones al triunfo. Noguer se puso en cabeza y comandó la manga con seguridad y solvencia como en él es habitual. Por detrás se formó un desfile con pocas variaciones ya que la regata fue una sucesión de traveses y ceñidas sin bordos debido al incremento del role. Fredy Vázquez consiguió remontar hasta el segundo, pero en el penúltimo tramo, la falta de lentillas le impidió ver como Marrón y Campi le robaban la cartera por su derecha gracias a una simpática racha particular. Algo más atrás, Marcó se mantuvo al frente de los radiales, seguido de unos impresionantes Sascha Hofert (con la histórica vela radial multicolor) y Carlos Jané.
No hubo más pruebas debido a la inestabilidad del viento y álgunos atrevidos se fueron a planear las magníficas olas que barrían fuera del cabo, entre ellos Leandro y Ramón, el cual se llevó un buen susto cuando clavó el hocico en una de ellas acabando casi acampado en Les Medes.
El domingo el padock estuvo ligeramente menos poblado debido a las bajas de Marcó (frío de pies)y Mumbrú (causa por concretar). La tramuntana se puso más dura que la víspera y se llegaron a medir puntas de 35 kt. Destacó un renacido Toni Roig en unas condiciones óptimas para él, recuperándose incluso de un error de boya que lo relegó varios puestos, a él y a los pardillos que le siguieron. (Campi, Marrón, y Moret). Miquel Álvarez se aproó en una virada con racha descomunal y acto seguido empezó el baile de volcadas en popa destacando Ricard Llonch (unas 10), Miquel (3) y otros. La peor parte se la llevó Roig que desarboló acariciando la meta y comprobó impotente como su eterno rival Noguer, que no suele fallar, se llevaba el gato al agua. Tras él entraron Vázquez y Campi, este último tras pasar a Marrón en una demostración de destreza y fuerza en la última ceñida corta .También entraron en meta, una azaña por si sola, Miquel y Pere Tusell.
Lluís Moret se impuso entre los radiales por delante de Sascha y unos grandiosos Jané y Pitus (jjmeifren) que dejaron muy alto el pabellón del Churrería Team. Josep Ferrés “Fideus” completó la nómina de campeones que completaron la prueba.
No hubo más ya que la flota optó por el camino de regreso (de ceñida) antes de que las cosas se pusieran más feas.

P.D. : No consigo insertar el fichero que he escaneado con las clasificaciones , pero ganaron Noguer (std) y Hofert 8(radial
(radial).

Muy bien Uri !!!, gracias por tu articulo y tambien por la presentacion a la clase de tu hijo, que se parece a ti, pero es guapo como su madre !!!!
Tendemos que acudir a Xavi «el Bolu»,para que nos enseñe a introducir archivos de clasificacion general y la de Circuito Catalan.
Pregunta : Leandro es master o minimaster ???, lo digo por que figura en la general , pero no en la de Circuito.Este año pasara mucho esto ya que en el circuito hay muchas pruebas con los » senior »
Espero que alguien cuelgue fotos de Estartit, y que algun experto sea capaz de preparar un mail con comentario y fotos para Tomas Gallart, gerente de C.N Estartit y Laser Master en activo del C.Vela Calella, en agradecimiento y ademas para acabar de confirmar Estartit 2010.

Muy bien, Mr Brown: Tu articulo es fantástico. Para mi lo mas increible fue estar lamiendo la popa de Toni Roig (que me hizo un exterior en boya sotavento de «»pro»») en el largo y ver como desarbolaba justo en mi proa, pues sufría mi presión. Toni,!!! si no puedes aguantar el barco en Standart, comprate una base Radial, como el Jane ¡¡¡¡¡¡
